why centennial?

We are leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Meaningful relationships with industry ensure our programs are forward-thinking as the economy evolves, and employers’ demands continue to change.  More than 800 industry leaders help to shape our curriculum and learning outcomes. You’ll have opportunities to work with the best and the brightest of Canada’s corporate players, from Restaurants Canada to The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. As part of your program, you could even land a co-op or internship placement with industry leaders like Air Canada, Bombardier Aerospace, Facebook, Google, and many more.

Many of our programs directly link you to the industry through internships, co-op, and applied research. Among 125 colleges, Centennial ranks second in Canada for the number of students employed and paid to conduct applied research (Canada’s Top 50 Research Colleges: 2018)

We are the #1 college choice for International Students in Canada! We’re recognized as one of the most culturally diverse post-secondary institutions in Canada, and our education is taught with a global perspective. Centennial’s Signature Learning Experience (SLE) integrates the principles of global citizenship, social justice, and equity into a distinctive educational experience. Our 27,000 full-time students include over 12,000 international students from 126 countries! Whether you study on-campus or online, you’ll gain valuable global citizenship and equity skills that prepare you for career success in a global economy.

A Centennial education is an education without borders because the world has changed. We are prepared for the next set of challenges: To be more innovative and entrepreneurial, to further exploit the benefits of technology, to build more bridges with communities and employers, and to see our graduates do meaningful work and have meaningful lives.

Build the skills for the career you want. Whether in our classrooms, our labs, or the community, Centennial students experience the real world before they even graduate.

Centennial College programs focus on professional skills development. You don’t just learn the theory; you learn how to do the jobs your career requires, and graduate ready to launch that career.  You will have access to the latest equipment and technology, industry-leading faculty, and co-op opportunities to get you work-ready upon graduation.

Centennial students learn from experts in their field. For example, in-demand knowledge and skills needed to start a career in Canada’s booming Big Data analytics industry are taught by a Centennial College professor with over 20 years of analytics experience at companies like Capital One, in roles such as the Director of Data Analysis, Risk Capital and Analytics.  Centennial College graduates earn a credential that is recognized at a high standard of education. With over 1,000 pathway options, graduates are also well equipped to pursue further study after graduation. Centennial College programs offer 313 Degree Pathways and 31 Master’s Degree Pathways with partner universities in Canada and abroad.

“Our college is mostly aimed at obtaining practical skills, but at the same time, there is the fundamental theory which our teachers with experience are willing to share with everyone here.” — Dmitry Brilenko – Biotechnology Graduate
